Dailly WWTW Screen

CHALLENGE
After the success of several Auger Monster screen installations in Ayrshire WGM were Requested to survey Dailly WWTW and provide a cost effective solution to remove the ragging issues on site.

SOLUTION
The problem was how to install a screen within the present inlet channel without major civil engineering costs. By using a JWC Auger monster in conjunction with a manufactured Stainless steel channel we where able to demonstrate that even in storm conditions we where able to minimise head losses and provide a screening sytem that removed all rags.

WGM were responsible for design, manufacture and installation of the new trough and equipment selection including the Screen and washwater booster system.

The installation was completed on budget, within programme and with no disruption to the operation of the site

CLIENT COMMENTS
“We now have a truly operational site with rags no longer blocking our systems and pumps. Where we once had engineers unblocking pumps every day , we now are able to utilise their labour constructively as we have had no pump breakdowns since installation.

I would like to thank WGM for their efforts and also their ownership of the original problem whereby they resolved the contentious issues with SEPA by providing detail analysis of the Grinder and Auger outputs”.
